| Dear Shawn: I have for some time been looking forward to writing this note. The "do-list" has all items scratched off, and I have lived in my new home for about three months now. It is a superb house and a joy to live in. You and all others who participated in the project created exactly the house that I sought. From the outset there was easy access to yourself, your staff, and the various subcontractors involved in the planning, construction, and finishing of the house. Such free and open communication instilled a sense of confidence that the job would be done right. Indeed, that has been the case. Your own crew of framing and finish carpenters were as pleasant as could be and graciously tolerated my daily visits to the site. My questions, comments, and requests were fielded with respect and a spirit of willing cooperation. Dominick, Butch, Bill, Bryan, Vince, Reggie, as well as some whose names I have forgotten, are the "Dream Team" of Kennebunk home construction. The subcontractors you use were well selected. They are all skilled, refined, and accommodating. Like yourself, they were seeking to provide me with the home I wanted. Special mention should be made of Tony Coker, painting contractor; Dana St. Ours, electrician; Roger Huppe, building supplies; Clint Robinson, hardwood flooring; and last but not least, Normand Ritchie, mason extraordinaire. My thanks also go to Rich and Patti in your office. Their efforts in costing, planning, paper chase, and implementation helped to expedite the project and smooth out the occasional and inevitable bump in the road. The Douston approach to promptly and effectively fixing any bump gives a client a sense of confidence that the project is being properly managed. Finally, I would like to say that the entire project was handled with the utmost personal integrity, fiscal integrity, and structural integrity. Please feel free to bring future prospective clients over for a personally guided walk-through of my new house. |
